Evaluate for Change Workshop!

A 2-day workshop (May 23rd and 24th) specifically designed for social change and community-based organizations to learn how to use evaluation as a tool for change.

  • You will learn about evaluation as a critical tool for empowerment and strengthening your organizational capacity.
  • Understand how to integrate learning and improvement into your organizational practice and strategy.
  • Design an outcomes framework for your organization to support social change work.
  • Practice methods for measuring and tracking change, with a particular emphasis on participatory and collaborative approaches.
  • Refine how you communicate the specific value and contributions your organization makes to the community and more broadly; and the use of these approaches to sharpen fundraising and communication strategies.

Who should attend?

  • Organizational staff who are responsible for conducting and/or overseeing evaluation and organizational learning activities.
  • People with a basic understanding of evaluation. (While we aren’t expecting in-depth knowledge, a basic understanding of evaluation terms and general processes would be helpful.)
  • People with a concrete evaluation need (for example, establishing a theory of change/theory of action, an evaluation plan, a program evaluation or specific data-collection tool, etc.)
  • Ideally organizations will send two people per organization who will attend the training and receive a combined total of 2 hours of coaching (per organization) to support applications of their learnings in their organizations.
